   I finally finished Policenauts. It was good, very much a visual novel with minimal gameplay. The 90s Japanese cyberpunk aesthetic is overwhelming. I played the whole thing with a pretty aggressive CRT shader called NewPixie to give it even more aesthetic. The story comes apart in the end, unfortunately.

     @djsumdog I downloaded the pre-patched PSX version off cdromance. There's only one fan translation afaik. Even the Saturn patch is based off the PSX translation.
     
     I played on Duckstation.
