@arstechnica Currently the AI boom is like the gold rush: the only ones who are making profit are the peddlers selling shovels, pans, and tents (i.e., CPU and GPU producers).
AI has become a more and more derogatory term, associated with crappy artwork, stolen IP, and deep-fakes.
There are many practical use-cases for AI. However, THE cash-cow practical use-case applicable for everybody, has yet to be found.
Not sure whether throwing a 100 Billion in this open equation will add up at the end.
