I don't get why, after all the bad things leadership has done to Mozilla, people still believe in some magic fairy dust turning them back into defenders of basic freedoms. IMHO the Google money has corrupted them and that was not a surprise to me. It is time to take the web back without counting on them. Yes, that's a brutal and harsh take and #UnpopularOpinion, but I am Dutch and I don't like to waste time finding excuses for them anymore. Thanks for all the fish, time for a new browser! IMHO.

I know these people also want The Good Things. And I feel bad for them. I really hoped that pressure from the outside would make things better. But I simply don't see enough good things happening (and there are a lot of good things) that can counter The Bad Things anymore. This is my very personal opinion.

And no, I don't know what that will be, but I know that the Web we all want is not the Web we all have.)
Kuba Orlik repeated this.
