     @weaf @ColonReport I considered a battery "explosion" but pagers almost universally have NiCd or NiMH batteries, not lithium ion
     
     considering that this apparently happened all at once they probably just had a timed explosive charge in the pager and scheduled calls to the pagers to get people to pick them up at that time
