I beat Spider-Man on the dreamcast emulator last night on hard. The last quarter of the game was rough. All of the symbiotes attacks had auto tracking with crazy range. I can only hit them twice and then they attack me. The only way to avoid them is to immediately jump away after hitting them a second time.
The controls on the dreamcast version is even clunkier because the DC controller is missing the webzip button. In DC version you have to press L and A at the same time but the game sometimes only registers one button press when you need to quickly move.
I enjoyed my time with it even if the gameplay and controls are really dated. I need camera control really badly.

@Dude and I am pretty sure it WAS a movie tie-in
-
@s8n I think you're talking about this one with tobey maguire
-
@s8n There wasnt a spiderman movie out back then until 2002. This game came out on 2000.
-
@Dude idk then maybe it was just garbage. This was a game one didn't play at the time, it would sit on the shelf unrented for months on end
-
@s8n Im pretty sure the only other super hero games out at the time was batman beyond, superman 64 and capcom's marvel vs games. And this game sold really well on the PS1.
-
@Dude the superman game on n64 was super awful and the spiderman game was a movie cash grab
-
@Dude nobody played this game because during this period of time it was well-known that every video game about a movie or superhero was shovelware trash
