   Firstly, I'm not 'murican. Secondly, just because I call bullshit on conservatards doesn't mean I'm a libtard. I don't jump on either bandwagon. Both sides of that false dichotomy use similar tactics of furious arm waving about non-issues in order to deflect from their own selfish agendas. But fwiw, the "whataboutism" is dumb and unconvincing. Maybe ask yourself why people can't afford basic medical care in the first place? Never mind just immigrants who've had their own national economies decimated by the policies of US and their cohorts.

     They shouldn't be here. They are not compatible with our culture and way of life. Everyone defending the Haitians invariably displays a sociopathic hatred for white working class Americans, who think it's hilarious that their industry got outsourced and Big Pharma got them hooked on opioids. I don't much care what they eat in their own countries. But we don't need that shit here.

     Which animals are kept as pets vs eaten as food is a cultural thing. There's no fundamental difference other than sentimentality. For example, in Peru guinea pigs are sold as BBQ on a stick. Personally, I've eaten dog, horse, and various other such animals cooked as part of traditional cuisine, and I'd eat a cat too if it was on offer. So yeah, a little traumatising for idiots who buy their food in plastic wrap from the grocery store. But for people who have experienced any other culture than their own, it's a complete nothing burger. Basically a bunch of up-tight whiny babies on the internet who need to get a life and go see the world beyond the end of their snobbish noses.
