   Man inherits land and doesn't do anything with it for decades, neighbor uses land productively to raise livestock and run business. This situation is literally why squatters rights were invented and I don't know why Fox News is trying to make me feel sorry for the prior owner.
   
   20 years is too high a bar though, should be 5-10.

     @Zettour fox news has to take the owner's side because their audience is made up of boomers who have become accustomed to making every decision based on what helps their 401(k), seeing things like land as fungible investment commodities
     
     someone actually productively using the land in their town in the owner's seemingly permanent absence is irrelevant because this negatively affects the hero boomer's retirement portfolio
