   T-62s have been captured and destroyed all over Ukraine, from the Kherson region in the South, to the Kharkiv region in the North, and they’re being used by Russia’s actual army, possibly including the 1st GTA (their “premier” tank unit) now.

   And having to resort to using such antiquated hardware is a humiliation, because it exposes them as a paper tiger. But Russia has a solution to this, which they’ve been employing for decades: just brazenly make shit up, and when you get called out, don’t acknowledge it, and move on to the next lie.

   For whatever reason a subset of their population eats it up, to the point where the Russians that don’t eat it up have a special term for these guys: vatniks).

   Anyways, somehow the vatnik-tier propaganda also gets eaten up by some of the poasties, which is how you get someone confidently claiming shit like, to paraphrase, “T-62s were only sent to Donbass militias because they’re easier to train in, and aren’t indicative of the scale of Russia’s armor losses”:
