   I don't think transporting thousands of migrants into an economically depressed area while taking resources from and mocking the struggles of the original residents is very nice

     I still find it gross how Boomers unironically care more about their cats than their children. Invaders have been murdering for years, but people barely gave a fuck. They didn't get this riled up over child trooners either. Hell, a large segment of the voting public is basing their electoral decision on the "right" to kill their own children. Somehow, Fluffy is their line in the sand.

     It makes total sense from the Boomer perspective. Pets give them affection now, kids give them backtalk. And our culture worships sentimentality rather than real empathy. Animals are simple, humans are complex.
