Upgrading Debian 9 to 10 is a bit challenging for new developers. Why? Both Debian 9 and 10 are EOL’d, 😔 So all those repo URLs, including official information and independent posts, are broken. However, there is a tricky way to do it. I think I will write a tutorial or create a quick video about upgrading the Debian end-of-life from 9 to 10 and then 10 to 11. You can't jump from 9 to 11/12. Or just install fresh versions of Debian 12 and restore your data 🤓

When I replaced the motherboard it couldn't boot the old Debian 10. But I wiped and installed 12 and everything pretty much Just Worked. The only major pain was reinstalling all my packages from the new repo, and I could do that as the need arose.
