>mihoyo wants to make a shooter
No wonder these faggots have been targeting snowbreak

The MMO unironically has the potential to cripple their company.
That genre is incredibly cursed and everyone that attempts to get into it falls off
-
@Meemoo H-How do you make a gacha out of the life sim genre? :hyperconfused:
-
@Ronnie21093 isn't that stuff like sim city? Just make characters gacha locked
-
@Spooke yeah they've been making roughly the same amount of revenue monthly despite releasing 3 games. They've hit market cap and have been trying desperately to find new sources to tap into.
They are actually making less now because their production costs have gone up. Also they spend a fuckton on advertising
-
@Meemoo but Hoyo literally has 3 major live services even in their investor call didn't they say every time they released a new one it cannibalized the old one. I don't understand why they'd want to keep making live services rapidfire at this point.
They've basically hit peak saturation.
-
@Meemoo People who have never made an MMO underestimate the groundwork needed to establish the playercounts MMOs generally needed for it to function properly.
-
@supersid333 they seriously have no idea what they are getting into
One millionaire ruined his life and went into poverty trying to make an MMO.
Multiple big gaming companies tried and failed.
Even a giga corporation like Amazon has failed to keep their MMOs relevant despite having infinite money
The MMO is a beast you do not wanna mess with
-
@Spooke people are already getting tired of their games.
Genshin has been bleeding players eith Natlan's launch revenue being a wet fart.
ZZZ dropped off post-launch.
Only HSR is still making the most money out of making their whales addicted to the power-creep treadmill.
-
@Meemoo I still think they should sunset HI3 and just sell it as Hi3 Complete and just package the original story up as a nice offline ARPG experience.
Most people can only handle juggling 2-3 live services before it gets incredibly suffocating.
