     @loicwolff @simonbs Hi Simon, my original post had alt text on the image, this one doesn’t.

     Can you please make your app add alt text from image(s) to your posts? (To say I’m not a huge fan of quote tweets would be an understatement but if you’re going to use them at least please make sure that your quote tweets are no less accessible than the originals.)

     @simonbs Gotcha. Would be good to try and raise awareness about this. Would hate to see accessible posts becoming inaccessible become a norm here.

     @aral Hi Aral. The app does generate an alt text but it’s up to the user to copy the alt text from Re: Toot an paste it into their Mastodon client of choice when composing the post. That’s because Re: Toot doesn’t support composing posts but piggybacks on the excellent third-party clients.

     @aral I feel like the app does a lot to make people aware of this. With quote posts on Mastodon’s roadmap I don’t think it’s worth tweaking my app much more. It’s merely a hack/workaround until quote posts are officially supported.
