     No I didn't mean that, I liked that twist, I meant it more in the sense that all side characters lose agency in s2 to the point they may as well not be there because they are just background details
     
     Like the blonde Princess girl

     Then season two comes along

     It really does feel like there was a shadow writer that parted ways halfway through causing the whole thing to collapse, like Beastars
