Not every drone is entering chat with FLIR.

Drones can use FLIR which defeats any type of cover. The other issue becomes cost effectiveness. How expensive is a heavier tank to produce, fuel, and maintain (in wartime conditions)? Compared to the cheap plastic drones and last gen ordinance they carry.

Guns are becoming useless now, similar to how knight suit of armor became obsolete after guns became commonplace. Now, we just sit in trenches hurling drones or indirect fire at the other trench. Hell, fucking armor (tanks/APCs) is becoming useless against these things too.

@SK1ZM @ACL9000 I imagine these drone tactics would not work well in ruins or forests or mountains, but seems ideal for the flat open muddy ground and large plains that cover much of Ukraine
extensive tunnels and camo netting covered trenches seem like the obvious answer to the drones, as does making much heavier tanks, but slowing the war down even more to not get soldiers killed seems like a bad option for the ukes
