     @blankdeblank @WashedOutGundamPilot @suquili my dad and my mom broke up when i was like 3 or 4 i don't really remember the exacts might have bene as late as 7 or 8, BUT the he was just gone, tbh, i don't really remember mcuh from my young young childhood
     most of the time, but i went to visit him one time when i was 13 then again when i was 16, he lived in colorado about a half hour outside colorado springs, it was a nice vacation but it was like meeting a stranger tbh. i didn't even know he died till earlier this year when i finally reconnected with my half brother and talked to him on facebook trying to find out dad's number so i could call him, he told me dad died of lung cancer 3 years ago.

     @givenup @blankdeblank @suquili You got robbed by fate, man. The good news is that you can turn things around in a single generation. We had a couple bad links in a row, all it took was grandpa's fortitude to insist on doing things 'right'.

     And to his credit....he mostly did. He WAS a horndog though, which I now find inspiring, TBH. I feel much less bad about my own drives knowing all my ancestors struggled with theirs to an even greater degree

     @blankdeblank @suquili @WashedOutGundamPilot my dad died in 2021 and tbh he wasn't even around before htat anyways, but uh, it's just a meme, i know enough about my dad to know he wouldn't have been an ass about something like that.
     
     my dad woulda definitely been a sarcastic dick about it in good fun tho.

     I didn't meet my dad until I was 13 and talked to him off and on. I went to live with him when I was 19 so had a job and money. Still didn't get to really know him I think he died in 2023 with I guess nothing to his name. Pretty sad really but I'll live my best life even if he didn't.

     Yeah my dad was in the navy so that's how I found out. I'm on the west coast and he was in Gorgia When I first got there he wasn't working and he was playing a football video game and stomped me on it and mocked me that I sucked. Spent like the next week playing it and stomped him back I was kind of mean about it not to proud of that but it's what it is.

     @WashedOutGundamPilot @blankdeblank @suquili i dunno what you mean by hcange things in a generation, i can barely find somewhere to live i talk big but in the end i live at my mom's house on her land, they're gonna put a cabin down here and i'm gonna do my half assed homesteading and chickens, so pretending like finding a wife and having children is in the cards for me is a fucking joke.

     @givenup @blankdeblank @suquili Grandpa was born in a shack to an alcoholic and his child-bride, he joined the military for a good job and managed to sweet talk a pretty girl into having a few kids w/ him. Sure, they didn't last, but they gave us enough good blood to work with, overall.

     It's still a daunting task, but you only really need a couple lucky breaks. Living on sovereign family land is attractive to girlies in their own right, you may not get a sterling 8/10 but you can find a girl who'd be an alright wife more easily than you'd think, if you're expecting them all the be e-thots
