   Give me one good reason for #telegram not having e2e encryption enabled on chats by default.

   It takes several clicks for the user to turn it on, but you need to do it for each of the chats separately.

     @arkd E2E has drawbacks that... most people wouldn' enjoy, I guess. But it's good to have that option.

     Telegram should be more upfront about the actual state of encryption in its marketing messaging, though

     @arkd yeah... I wpuld have long ago abandomed Telegram, but its UX and UI is STELLAR in my opinion. Especially when compared to the competition

     @kuba exactly my point. I mean, good UX is also about transparency - tell the user the pros and cons and let them decide. Or even: turn e2e by default and display the prompt: "app working too slow? Considering turning E2E encryption off. Warning: your messages will not be secure."
