@arstechnica Some glitch. When it doubt, it's almost always going to be a glitch. Take an incredibly sophisticated machine with many fragile electronic components, subject it to the extreme stresses of launch, then let it sit awhile in a very hostile environment. Unless the machine has been extensively shaken down and hardened, glitches are all but inevitable.

@arstechnica they just need to jettison that thing and take the loss. The speaker noise like static or blips can mean electrical failure of some component, by emitting spurious RF.
