   I wish I could just make a law that you can’t sell things without at LEAST giving a price range. So much shit in our industry is “call for quote”, so when someone asks me how much an add-on would cost I’m sitting there trying to dig for a price when nobody wants to just come out and say it.

   So this guy is curious about a dealer option vs. doing a non-STC installation, and all I have to go off of is that the cheesy tint job could be $2k for parts. But the factory option? Who the hell knows. Could be $5k, could be $15k.

   Very irritating, because only experience and connections can really give me a sense of what everything really costs new. You’d think the internet would have that info, but not at a glance.

     That asterisk? At the bottom of the ad it says “* assuming non discounted dollars”

     I’m even more confused and I wasn’t even talking about this product

     Also kinda funny how tuners used to add those little aero aids like they did something, and people made fun of them, and now aftermarket companies are doing the same for aircraft and advertising 4 knot cruise increases as if that’s worth the $10k to install them

     Rally cars have a massive diffuser, but it's also a ground effect. Those foils don't strike me as effective. I'd wager an experienced pilot sees little to no gain, while someone that makes constant course corrections might see an improvement.
     
     They *had to* add to this glider, because overcorrection was a thing.

     @1967GTO I’d buy the speed increase to an extent, you see a lot of weird stuff with old crap like gap seals. It’s surprising how much of a diff. they make. Seems like more vertical stab surface really helps a plane track, too
