Like an AI ruling us? Seems like an attempt at monarchy.
Democracy is ugly, and we now see that constitutions do not limit it over time.
Obviously we want to also avoid the other bad forms.
There are a few options left, I'd say... and we owe it to ourselves to pursue them.

@amerika @PawelK @julianna nah not AI but the dreaded technocracy of a panel of "experts" to deliberate. problem i have with "experts" is they only see one way and they are easily corruptible. the former is mitigated with a large panel but the latter amplifies the problem. republic works way better but what i've learned with WEF, its completely compromisable. just give all the douches a heads up on where the money will go and a $0 bribe buys all the loyalty.

@PawelK @amerika @julianna maybe unfortunate, maybe not, but technocracy? i see loads of problems with that but if the technocracy is wide base enough, is there less chance for corruption? does eliminate the inmates running the asylum issue of democracy. possible to incorporate the republic in there?

Those "disillusioned" with democracy, deserve to live in a place having none.
Thats what my life-experience says.

We have multiple options.
Obviously Communism is bad, but democracy is Communism lite that per Plato, leads to tyranny.
So we need a third (or fourth, or fifth) option.

Trust me I saw some, and I can understand more than well enough the roots of this feeling, but I swear to god- the bipolar dualism tyranny-democracy is deadly right and real.
Unless someone invents a third or fourth way (and we didnt event start to try), which I would find equally to You comforting, I'm afraid, were stuck with dirty compromise of democracy. I believe, I may be comparably to You unhappy about that fact.

But with diversity, everyone has to choose sides, and they always choose tribe over nation-state.
This applies to me too. I am loyal to my fellow #WASP citizens, not to the USA, UN, democracy, equality, or other illusions.

@amerika @PawelK @julianna and glad it did expose that crock thus proving a standard technocracy (like we see in the movies) is completely fallible. still democracy is a complete failure and how to corrupt a true republic has been learned and (to us non-idiots) exposed.
maybe monarchy has something to it... but still requires that ruler to not grow a dumb ass populace so it can further pillage its subjects.
yeah, time for a very creative solution.
