     @apropos There is literally nothing wrong with using webp for web assets like emotes. This is literally what it was designed for. :marisa:

     I am updating all of my static image emotes on Schwartzwelt and here to webp. Total filesize of the collection goes from ~11MB if I'm not mistaken to 2.4MB, with very little loss in quality + preserved alphas. The animated GIFs aren't as consistent, with some having increased filesize but I sorted through which ones were better and which ones were worse.
