I am still just shook that in the triple a space, these open world 3rd person games rarely look any better, or even any different, compared to games released 10+ years ago, and in fact they run worse, have more bugs, take up more file size and cost more. Like are these really games that couldn't have been done in 2011/2012 when something like Arkham City had released? Have they even benefitted from technology evolution in that time?

@TopBep Yeah, technology getting better has allowed devs to get lazier, they can make games bigger than what would fit on an optical disk, and with better Internet infrastructure they can get away with fixing games later

@poopernova @TopBep ontop of that we have the worst developers known to man actually making these games.
These toxic and worthless developers also do purity purges on anyone they don't agree with which also lowers the pool of competent developers.
Anyone with talent has left this space to go work in a non gaming software development indusry to be paid well while potentially developing their own game on the side.
