   @stefan Would have been much more impactful if the text said something like ‘Missing alt tax. Please add.’ with the please add being a link (call to action) that opened up the edit interface.

   Right now, it means nothing to people who don’t understand what ALT means. The warning icon is the best bit. It might get people to ask about it and, if they hate it enough, how they can remove it. But it will take conversation to get there and might, in time, become filtered noise.

     I do like how the missing alt text icon is now more prominent, but I do wonder if this is enough to get people to add descriptions to their images.

     I actually opened an issue addressing this last year.
