   I think Torba may have just signed the death certificate for Gab:
   
   "We are rolling out a new update that will prevent non-pro users from accessing content that is more than 2 months old and logged out users no more than one week old. PRO users will still be able to access all historical content. We are doing this to combat bot scraping from our enemies and from various AI services that are stealing this data to train on without our permission. This scraping impacts site performance and weighs on our already limited server infrastructure. We will see how this goes and adjust things accordingly.
   
   The vast majority of users will notice no difference to their experience as most people only care about content being posted within the last week or so. We really need to continue expanding our infrastructure and can only do that with support from people like you. Please consider making a donation to help Gab cover the costs of our existing infrastructure and so we can continue to expand it:"

     @Appalachian_Crusader @James_Dixon Reminder that for over a year the ordering of images in posts was fucked, and editing would shuffle them again. The only reason this was fixed is due to Neon Revolt (who’s not a Gab employee) figuring it out by looking at the source code and it was something to do with the long dead GabTV

     @James_Dixon torba is a literal fucking nigger, while this makes sense for most people he claimed Gab was "a digital library of alexandria" and forcing that behind a paywall under the premise that it's preventing "scraping" is fucking retarded. disable unauthenticated viewing without a direct link to the post in question. you will solve 100% of the issue. this is just to drum up more cash
