@Zergling_man Hey I am trying to install the goldberg emulator on that broken copy of SoaSE2 I got but I am getting an error that says: "The procedure entry point SteamInternal_SteamAPI_Init could not be located in this dynamic link library". I know you don't use Windows but I've searched the internet with no luck so maybe you've come across it before?
I didn't bother to compile or anything but I was hoping not to waste the bandwidth downloading another version if I don't have to.

@realman543 lol

@Zergling_man Ah ha! It has a dlllist.txt file which I am not sure why or if the base game uses it or what. But changing that from their gay nigger shit to the original dll name fixes it. Or at least boots it it's still loading.
-
@Zergling_man My guess is the faggots fucked with the executable to get it to run (and plant malware on the computer how much you want to bet) and now the only way to run it is their way which is beyond fucking gay. It's like a planet of niggers all fornicating.
-
@realman543 Also possible.
-
@realman543 feck
That's really odd since it doesn't actually replace the exe.
-
@Zergling_man So the gay ass "crack" installed with this version seems to he hardwired into the executable.
I guess I have no choice. :cirno_angry:
-
@Zergling_man With how long it took me to dl yesterday, might very well be worth it to avoid the hassle.
-
@realman543 "Basically the same game" appears to be pretty accurate.
Though you do have to make more choices; extractors cost logistic slots now, but also you get more of them to offset that. (Also you don't get extractors at the start, they're a tier 1-3 tech, instead planets give all three resources by default, well depending on planet type. Extractors are closer to refineries because refineries are now for "exotics" which are loosely the replacement for command points.)
-
@realman543 Probably not worth it at that point tbh.
-
@Zergling_man I may have to compile and/or dig into goldberg to find the issue here. I've read it's due to "old steam APIs" because they don't include this function. But the only way to know would be to dig into goldberg which I am not looking forward to tbh

@realman543 (And yeah it seems to just be the same things twice for some reason. Presumably because both folders contain different exes, maybe the launcher one is unnecessary.)
-
@realman543 Man I just spent an entire night figuring out that Microsoft adds an extra argument to the main function in C and wine doesn't support it; I may be the only person in the world who is aware that, under specific circumstances that I don't yet know, WC3 will use that argument.
But I don't recall coming across this one. Here are the exact files the RUNE version uses; given that they seem to be all steam-specific they're probably compatible with other versions of sins2.
