>tfw you come up with this bullshit media literacy meme to shame chuds for liking things that you like, but then some of the creators of those things you like inform you in heckin' bad faitherino that you're actually the media illiterate one.
- luithe and New Janny in Town like this.

@Hoss it was pretty obvious literally taking 2 minutes to read the terminals in the original game
And the creators making fun of the us government and Chinese government being that one meme image of the withering slob saying he wants a global war to happen and see flesh burn one last time before age catches up
-
@BigDawg869789 @Hoss Man if only they, like, told the player that message explicitly at the start of every game to make sure the idea got across. Or something.
-
@Hoss Hmm... Its almost like they wanted people to understand... War never changes...
-
@Hoss >what if billionaires launched the nukes... for profit ?
What ?
How does anyone profit from total nuclear annihilation ?
You go from being a global corporate superpower to being at best a regional power lording over a barren wasteland.
It was just stupid to begin with because 'meekly criticize capitalism' is ironically the safest most corporate friendly message you could go with.
-
@ElTigre @Hoss It's clearly not the intent either as despite whatever the show tries to pull with him, House was clearly taken by surprise and viewed it as the old world's folly. Also why the fuck does Sinclair know about the nukes, he was clearly taken by surprise too fuck me...

Growth for the sake of growth is not prosperity, it's literally cancer.

@warmbeverageenjoyer @ins0mniak @Hoss i think the best critique of capitalism is how its always trying to squeeze absolute maximum efficiency out of everything and everyone and ends turning every business into this huge soulless juggernaut that people live to maintain rather than assisting in commerce like it was supposed to do
-
@ins0mniak @Hoss absolutely. capitalism is not a perfect flawless system, and American capitalism will never benefit me or anyone I care about in a way that a different implementation could, so I hate it too.
But commies and "nuanced, reasonable arguments" dont go hand in hand
total commie death
-
@warmbeverageenjoyer @Hoss I'm ok with a reasonable argument or critique as long as its a thoughtful one.
I just hate it when you get smacked in the face with some idiotic dorm room tier politics.
Looking at you netflix
-
@Hoss always felt like "critique of capitalism" was something filthy commies shoehorned in to the series. glad to be vindicated
