   When you run into an extreme non-jew jew apologist they generally have lots of experience with secularized lapsed jews who have wholeheartedly adopted some non-jew friendly ideology - true liberal universalism of the 1940s kind, conservatism, even right wing libertarianism.
   
   They have never seen a jew power move up close.

     @BarelyEagle I refer to the general mockery of their very strict rules against consuming caffiene, particularly among skeptics.
     
     The main problem with Mormonism today is an effort to be race blind out of shame about their pre-1977 views on blacks.

     @judgedread That is a real unfortunate thing that they’ve lost the plot a bit - considering their scriptures (iirc) explicitly say that they are black because they are evil, and mixing with them will pass on those sins.

     Carter administration was cracking down on religious schools for segregation, and Mormons knew they were on even thinner ice.

     @Vulpes_Quartus @judgedread What do you find problematic about mormons? The ones I’ve met always seemed rather pleasant, if a bit goofy sometimes. A religious prohibition against doing drugs seems significantly less horrifying than what jews get up to.

     @Vulpes_Quartus I always found jewish law repulsive, and wondered why other skeptics didn't laugh at its absurd superstitious dietary restrictions the way they laughed as Mormons not drinking coffee.
