This whole thing between them is just odd though. If Malone has mal-intent, I'm all for outing him ASAP, but if not, more in-fighting only serves to benefit people who don't like any of us very much. Forgot about the whole thing until I saw Mass' post about it earlier today, and now I'm wondering why she feels the need to add to the drama.

Regardless of Malone's past, I think a lot of people were desperate for a well-spoken charismatic leader to rally behind, and he has at least tried to provide that.
Ironically, much of it is relevant to my latest piece which touches on where I see the actual fault lines. In the context of many activist movements, who agree on many issues, the dividing line will be between radicals and reformers. The radicals will accuse the reformers of being propped-up by the existing power-structure. Then the reformers will retort that the radicals are sabotaging meaningful change with their resentment, arguing that keeping the power structure in place is a fair trade for meaningful change. -

Very out of character. My guit tells me someone threatened their grandchildren and those two most certainly would do anything to protect family. They are wonderful people. Nothing to back up that thought though. Just only thing I can think of that would make sense of this drama

There's definitely lots behind the scenes that isn't being talked about. I'm also very sympathetic to Breggin, largely because it seems like he's been "in the fight" longer than I've been alive.
