@eidolon @gray Do people even bother getting licences in India? Even SEA countries don't tend to bother, and they're still somewhat civilised.
It's actually not that much of a hassle here, it's one day training + 10-20 minutes test on a computer, then wait a bit.
It's just the fact that there's only one company allowed to do the training and so they jack the price up like 7x higher than it needs to be so fuck that lol
Also the other problem is that I spoke to my bike friend and he basically said "you wear full safety gear or you fuck right off", and that does not work for me outside of ~1wk each year.

@Zergling_man @gray True tbh, getting a licence these days for a car or a bike is a massive pain and very expensive unless you live in a corrupt hell (like India). I know motorcycles are super popular in India because they are cheaper than cars and more fuel efficient, and getting a licence in India is a piece of piss.

@eidolon @gray Honestly I want to buy a motorbike, but I don't want to spend $700 on a 1-day training unit lol

@eidolon Gen Z outlaw motorcycle gang where they all ride e-bikes

@gray Actually though I've become a little interested in this subculture (I just watched The Bikeriders and watched an interview with Jay Dobyns). I seen this channel 'Demon's Row' which seems to be the only youtube channel with any real content on this subject. And idk, all the guys that are bikies look like they're in their 40s. I know Harley Davidson as a brand is dying too, because nobody wants to buy bikes (other than people in their 40s+).

I wonder how motorcycle gangs maintain their membership tbh. I hear the military is having huge recruitment issues, maybe they should take a page from an outlaw gangs handbook. Still I can't imagine Gen Z is very interested in joining an outlaw motorcycle gang.
