   @sickburnbro There's a fundamental logic error here though... as a grandparent you should WANT to watch over and spend time with your grandkids. It's like a reward you get for raising your own kids to adulthood because you get to enjoy all of the good with still being able to give them back to their parents at the end of the day. So the question is... what's changed?

     the reason why women don't like this is because of individualism. If grandma watches kids, it means an obligation. If you pay someone, no obligation.
