     @arstechnica Disable TV’s networking, use an Apple TV set top, and don’t need to worry about it.

     @arstechnica I haven't had a tv set since 1999 when the one I had at the top stopped functioning. My wife put a doily on top and a plant on that and now it's a table

     @arstechnica Oof. After many years of not owning a TV, I inherited a pre-2010 model from my mom. It works great hooked up to an Amazon Stick and has no internet capability. I reckon when it dies I'll just buy a nice big monitor.

     @arstechnica is so bad you cannot buy a non smart TV anymore in a bigger size, the most I've seen in stores are 24"
