I'm actually nostalgic for a lot of these products/services because some of them were quite nice and even superior to what Google later put out. Like I really prefer Google Video over YouTube because Google Video actually allowed you to download the videos, even if it was in their proprietary video format. YouTube never officially allowed you to do that, even before monetization was a thing.
Google Desktop was also nice even though it was most likely used for Google to datamine your hard-drive. It contained gadgets which were basically web-apps, so you could play some flash games on your desktop (I was too dumb to learn that you can simply download the SWFs back then).
