   I try to pay attention in meetings but it never persists. I just don't care. Been like this since I got involved in this industry. It's really amazing my reputation is as good as it is with peers because I just do not fucking care.

     Some of these meetings should be productive but the real value in my role all comes from submissions via email. 99% of my job can be done without ever talking to another human being via phone or in person. It's goofy but I'm in the right place.
