I think I found an unused and hidden image inside a SNES game but I'm not sure I really want to go to all the work of extracting it properly (the palette is fucked) and more importantly, playing through the game to make sure it's REALLY unused

You have to hack the palette to make it appear correctly, but there's a hidden image located off-screen in Home Improvement: Power Tool Pursuit! (1994) for the Super Nintendo. -

and setting WRAM:0x317 to 0x68 gives you infinite invulnerability

so if you force it to -200, whenever you jump, you'll slowly float up. So it's like a shitty jetpack

Foone🏳️⚧️ (foone@digipres.club)'s status on Sunday, 18-Aug-2024 09:05:25 JST Foone🏳️⚧️ WRAM: 0x000309 seems to be your y-coordinate. set it and it'll teleport you up and down.

Foone🏳️⚧️ (foone@digipres.club)'s status on Sunday, 18-Aug-2024 09:22:08 JST Foone🏳️⚧️ unsurprisingly, WRAM: 0x000307 is your X coord.
also the game seems to have a weird fall-detection: if your Y coordinate increases too much in a single frame, you're considered falling, and it goes to the death scene

Foone🏳️⚧️ (foone@digipres.club)'s status on Sunday, 18-Aug-2024 09:54:45 JST Foone🏳️⚧️ I think this game uses some kind of basic RLE compression for sprites, which presumably is just in there to piss me off

I don't know why there are so many duplicates. The weirdest part? Brad Taylor, who is used in the game, appears only once! Mark Taylor, who doesn't appear at all, is in there a bunch of times (the kid with the green shirt)

I found some unused content in this game a while back, just not the apparent image.
