i think a lot about how the doctors at the clinic that explicitly catered to trans people were considerably worse than the average in a country that is widely considered "not trans-friendly" [not UK].
the average doctor pretended to not understand anything and paid attention to what we're saying. the ones from that clinic pretended to understand everything and did not listen to a single word we say

i can't overstate how much this is not an exaggeration. the endo diagnosed us with pre-diabetes and made several prescriptions without looking at a single test; from what she said it seemed likely that it was about beauty standards
note that we were there for HRT
anyway, a few months later we did a HbA1c test and a GTT (which is the gold standard diagnostic test) and excluded pre-diabetes conclusively
