     Do you wanna ask about what's the different between "は” and "が”？
     Or is it something other?

     @ninja8tyu @Misato 桜が走った means Sakura ran. It is simply the past form. 桜が走っていた means Sakura was running.

     @Misato I'm not sure when to use いる and the te/ta-forms of verbs, because couldn't I always say:
     
     桜がはした
     
     instead of
     
     桜がはしていた
     
     in the same event of this picture?

     @ninja8tyu @Misato I mean basically yeah, they convey the same thing. It's just how you want to express it you know? Same in English. 走っていた simply means the action was ongoing if that makes sense? She ran - She was running

     @locagainstwall @Misato It's more that couldn't I just interchange them whenever I want, since they both feel like they convey the same information?
     
     Then again, I'm one of those people who don't know how to speak.
