     @WashedOutGundamPilot If "date" wasn't wrapped in quotation marks, I'd say the parents cared. It's the equivalent of pushing him into a brothel for his first, only worse. Setting him up with someone who will bed him for a set of wheels ends as soon as the title is in her name.
     
     So going into college, the kid will be heartbroken. Perhaps even resentful. Throwing a used car at a complete stranger to 'fix their kid before he leaves home' is kinda like a Hail Mary. Let's-cut-a-check, after being MIA during his development.

     @1967GTO You guys are so sexual, geez. I take “date” to mean “practice date”, and not “screw”. That would make more sense as a set of training wheels just to be around and talk to the guy, help him gain a little confidence as a practice GF and move on.

     What, he’s just gonna fall in love with any chick that walks in the door? Come on…….things aren’t that bad. Are they? Don’t tell me they’re that bad
