     it is stereotypical for trans ppl to own blahaj and honestly a lot of trans ppl will dollow the stereotypes that give them positive social attention. how many ppl have u seen w thigh highs

     I'm a trans, and a programmer. I have been for years. I'm not going to stop programming in order to not "follow a stereotype"? Stereotypes aren't always negative.

     @julia im fine with positice stereotypes! it is just that this one is saying 'buy this product to be more trans' in the same way non programmer trans folk feel maligned by that stereotype around programmers :akaneshrug:

     @errante@rot.gives I've heard many others have a similar experience there. That stereotype in particular is a tricky one, and it alienates a lot of people.
