      @PhenomX6 @meso @pernia @mia @errante @bot @animeirl I actually think Wayland offers a fair number of tangible improvements (particularly in gaming applications thanks to Gamescope et al.) but it's definitely not as simple as "X bad, Wayland good" and anyone who tells you that also has a bridge to sell you.

      @netdoll @pernia @PhenomX6 @mia @errante @bot @animeirl i distrohopped 5 times because Nvidia didn't want to work ON XORG the other day at least Nvidia doesn't work with Wayland because there's no support for EGLstreams or GBM or whatever the fuck it was on Xorg it's a lot more complex and i dont want to bother with the 300 config files :marseyitsover: this leaves me with the conclusion that Wayland isnt worse than X11 even on Nvidia

      @netdoll @PhenomX6 @animeirl @bot @errante @mia @pernia at least the biggest issue i've had with Wayland was that my display manager (why do they call the login screen that? :marseyretard2:) broke it, something to do with seats. gotta submit an issue about that, not sure to whom though because I haven't investigated it enough to see if it's a compositor issue or a display manager issue, so who do I bother about it? probably the display manager devs because it only breaks with it
