@hermit @Metamedia I don't know if you seen trans documentaries from the 70s and how wholesome the community was then. Paris is burning is an example. These was mostly black trans people but was very caring and authentic. My thoughts is just that the trans community has been hijacked by narcissistic individuals and psychopaths. There also mixed in some neoliberal ideology especially in the trans tech community.

@diceynes @Metamedia The main one I'm thinking of never displayed any emotional characteristics at all, ran a house full of security cameras in every room that he invited vulnerable people to live in (and then opened their mail and gaslit them,) and then suddenly became a theymab out of nowhere before finally apparently transitioning, still going about daily business being a bugperson and doxing people over irc disputes regarding foss project implementations etc.
There was no exagerrated behaviour, it was Patrick Bateman all the way down, except without any of the "literally me" cool antihero qualities
