     @nixCraft it's fun until everyone with an agile/scrum/whatever certification comes in to tell you to do things that are either useless or technically unfeasible. And it has to be bug free and ready to release tomorrow

     @nixCraft I don't know what fraction of programmers do it because it is fun, but it certainly has been true for me since day one. And I suspect it's true for the really good ones.

     I'm retired and I still do some programming every day.

     @nixCraft I still have fun programming, but on my own projects. When I have to do it for work, to satisfy someone else's expectations, or especially under pressure, it becomes a chore.

     @nixCraft many people in the comments are shitting on linus for this quote because the chose programming not thinking that they wouldn't be replaced for indians or AI, but he has a little reason with that...i don't work in programming, but i like it to program sometimes, it's fun
