@hanscees @KatyElphinstone Alt-text: Two-frame meme: soldier in black and white photo asks tank in water:
Oh panzer of the lake, what is your wisdom?
Tank replies:
percentages are reversible, so 6% of 50 is equal to 50% of 6 which is much easier to calculate
@KatyElphinstone even when they grow up
They usually don't mind – even as older kids – hanging out with adults.
This will probably include you, their parent ❤️
In fact, sometimes that can be their favourite thing!
They may have no ‘gang mentality’, and it's unlikely they'll enter into power games & hierarchies in groups.
This may break your heart if it means they're lonely, and don't have friends at school, but it’s a beautiful – if unintentional – form of rebellion.
They may like hilarious emojis, memes, and very silly jokes, as much as you do.
😜😁🤪🥴
They let you know what they like and don't like.
This is a good thing (though it may not always feel like it at the time!), as it can avoid more serious problems later.
They’re likely to feel and act very compassionately towards those more vulnerable than themselves.
This absolutely includes those without a voice, e.g. who may be furry and four-footed.
They generally tell you the truth.
It can be painful sometimes, but at least you know what you're dealing with!
They can become incredibly enthusiastic and passionate about certain things.
This is a wonderful quality. One that is generally, sadly, discouraged in older children and teenagers. Luckily, most autistic children do not get that memo.
