Okay so gamescope doesn't work on some computers, including my laptop and Tamamo's PC, so here's another method I found that worked getting it to work on my laptop. Keep in mind after you log in to recheck those boxes in winecfg or the game with act all fucky and you wont be able to see your cursor

The public Linux PC marketshare has jumped to 5% in recent news, and that is from people are not hiding their Linux use and not just from linux-based systems like Steamdeck. You'd think this and Linus Trovald allowing kernel-based anti-cheat/drm modules a few years ago would encourage devs to be more open to Linux.

@SuperSnekFriend This isn't really the devs to blame. They aren't actively out to prevent you from logging into linux, the game's window management is just scuffed.
-
@HonkHonkBoom anti chet works on linux for given value of working. It doesn't have access to the kernel unlike on windows, thats why slop shooter companies hate it.

@Kyonko802 Snowbreak doesn't ban for running on linux? Neat.. lots of gacha gets real pissy about linux cause their anticheat can't infect stuff as deeply.
edit: ohh, it can infect you that deeply now? weird..

@EdBoatConnoisseur @SuperSnekFriend on desktop you have to activate gamescope yourself.
On steam deck snowbreak doesnt require any tweaking, you can just log in no problem.

@Kyonko802 @SuperSnekFriend wait, how do you check out for werether gamescope is being used or what is this problem actually about?
