     @nixCraft what if you’re a weirdo who likes all of them for different purposes? Though I’m sure my like for Win 10 is just Stockholm Syndrome after being in corporate IT for 15 years.

     @nixCraft When I was 30, most operating systems only had one text editor and your employer chose your operating system for you. There were no flamewars. 😉

     @nixCraft last year, I was CE student taking a CS class. I'm acclimated to using vim as my text editor, and compiling/debugging using separate terminal windows. I went to the computer lab once to get help with something, and was mocked by the CS TAs. They said I would never find a job if I don't learn how to use an IDE. He seemed to think Visual Studio was a skill to be put on your resume.

     @nixCraft Feel right, but people won't agree with you, they will tell you X editor is the best. and generally justify with silly arguments My advice, find one you like and respect the choose of the other, don't try to preach for the one you choose.

     @nixCraft When I learn some tool, I tend to stick to it; I don't really look for anything new. Until fast forward like 12 years, I had some friends over, and they were all laughing at me when they saw I was using Vim. 😆
