     @arstechnica Google killed any chance I would spend money on a Google product that I expected to last longer than a lettuce a long time ago.

     But I had sort of toyed with the idea that a Chromecast might have been worth buying. Now I'm one again glad I didn't buy Google.

     @arstechnica Well fuck 'em. I already hated that I could stream with VPN on Chromecast. I have a spare Linux laptop and an HDMI cable, though. At least I'm the admin on it and can still block ads.

     @arstechnica Chromecast was the perfect device for all dumb and un-smart tvs. It's another shit Google decision.
