     KJV purist for aesthetic and textual reasons

     very fair. I personally try to read all translations. because I Am a crazy person.

     @Yellow_Heart @hermit Mainly it's a preference for the received text/Byzantine type over the eclectic Alexandrian type which is predominantly used for newer translations.

     do you mean the masoretic texts?

     Mainly it’s a preference for the received text/Byzantine

     hmmm fair. thats good point. I trust the greek/byzantine scrolls more then the hebrewic ones.
