     i wonder how writing an effective antivirus for like windows 9x would go
     
     5 seconds of thinking made me go like: let's make the user install a driver and constantly run in the bg so we can somehow keep track of syscalls being used and what programs are using them, and if some pattern of calls a program does looks sussy, we kill the program
     
     of course i don't know the first thing about writing drivers and especially not a driver for a super obsolete operating system so that's probably impossible but i mean i can dream right
