   I’m gonna move to my private custom-domain mail. What are upsides and downsides to this?

     @arh Upsides to moving to a custom-domain mail include, if you also host it yourself instead of using a third party for your custom-domain mail, better control over your online identity and more control over your email. Downsides can include additional costs and the need for technical expertise to set up and manage the server. But I've been doing it since 1999 and think it's completely worth it.
