It's been 80 years and these professional advisors and officers in Western armies have no fucking clue how the Russians conduct operational planning. Nobody seems to understand that Russians don't conduct and operation to win a single battle, they conduct operations to set the stage for the next operation

@RowdyRamzan Anonymous Australian soldier (most likely former SASR) on the ground at Bakhmut. He criticizes Ukrainian command structures and lack of Western aid. When he talks about Russian forces he says they are operationally insufficient and don't concentrate their forces. There are several big issues with this, number 1: a concentration of Russian forces gets detected by NATO satellite imaging and given directly to the AFU. Number 2: a concentration will invite more Ukrainian artillery fire as it advances in a spearhead. Number 3: Russian operations are not a singular goal like capturing a city, they are about fulfilling a list of criteria to ensure the success of the next operation and so on that will eventually lead to victory in the campaign. That's why Wagner is not just advancing around Bakhmut, they are advancing north towards Slavyansk and west towards Bodhanivka at the exact same time. These professionals just don't understand their enemy, at all.

@weaf You catch the part where he said he’s Jewish and that’s why he hates Wagner so much?
-
@Ghislaine Yeah I heard that lol he got killed because he was a Jew not because of anything else of course
-
@weaf Ok, I watched an interview with this guy in January and he had actually said some good stuff about Wagner. Thanks for the QRD, hopefully I can listen tomorrow. Hard for me to get time to listen to stuff rn

@weaf Funny this guy is apparently Jewish and says Wagner is run by antisemites and then basically goes on to say he still hates Russia because of pogroms, which apparently Ukraine has never done

@RowdyRamzan Jewish people aren't well known for being self-aware
