El Salvador: President of El Salvador, Nayib Bukele ordered the dispatch of prisoners to destroy tombstones with symbols of criminal factions.

According to Bukele, "bandits and gangs do not need to be remembered, and the history of criminality in the country needs to be extinguished, along with the criminals themselves".
