     I could never prove this but my masculine intuition tells me that boomer selfishness can be boiled down to the toxic effect that unshackled hypergamy has had on the culture. Boomer men's entire world revolved around pleasing women so one might pick them, the family itself became another gift for men to please women with and thus became subject to women's capricious whims.
